EVmatch is now integrated with Autel EV chargers to support customer choice and advanced industry standards. In addition to Wallbox Pulsar and Enel X Juicebox EV chargers, EVmatch’s management software is now integrated with the Autel MaxiCharger, which includes CTEP and ISO 15118 compliance.

EVmatch is thrilled to announce that it is now integrated with the Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Commercial EV charger! EVmatch always seeks new partnerships and product integrations to add to our ecosystem and enhance our value. We responded to feedback from our customers and installation partners to add Autel EV chargers to our platform. Please continue to reach out with requests.

To support the growing demand for flexible and advanced charging, we are proud to announce that our software for payment processing, reservations, and access controls is now integrated with Autel EV chargers - specifically, the Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Business and Autel AC Ultra charging stations. Autel EV chargers include a number of new features that align with the most advanced industry standards - notably, California Type Evaluation Program (CTEP) certification and ISO15118 compliance. CTEP certified hardware is required for new publicly available charging stations in California and ISO15118 compliance is a growing requirement for rebate programs from utilities and governments.

Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Commercial Specifications

First off, let's review the Autel MaxiCharger specifications. The 12 kW EV charger is outfitted with the J1772 plug (compatible with all EVs) and a 25 foot cable. At full power, this charger can provide around 40 miles of range per hour of charging. The current is adjustable, up to 50A. Separately, an 80A option is also available for sites that have the need and power capacity for up to 19 kW per charger.

To access the full suite of EVmatch software features, the smart Autel EV charger can be connected to the internet through a number of options such as WiFi, 4G cellular, and Ethernet. This is great for existing sites as internet connectivity can be an issue if only limited to just WiFi.

The charger comes with a touchscreen LCD screen, which displays important information such as charging status, power output, and charging duration. This is important for CTEP compliance, which will be discussed later.

The charger is also NEMA 4 rated–meaning it can be installed indoors or outdoors. Lastly, Autel offers a standard three-year warranty and the option to purchase an extended warranty.

Overall, this Autel EV charger is packed with great features that are highly competitive with other chargers in the market. When integrated with EVmatch, this commercial charger can require payment, restrict access, tabulate data reports, and much more. Starting at $989, the Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Business is a perfect hardware option for your next business, community-serving, or multi-family charging project.

Key Features and Future-Proofing

The Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Commercial has a few additional features that EVmatch customers will love to hear. First off, this new EV charger is California Type Evaluation Program (CTEP) compliant. This is important news as all new public EV chargers installed in California must adhere to this new regulation. In short, CTEP-compliant EV chargers require two components: 1) a screen to display the pricing and current charging status; and 2) a commercial revenue-grade electrical meter to precisely measure the energy dispersed by the charger for billing purposes. The Autel MaxiCharger is the first CTEP-certified EV charger in the EVmatch ecosystem, which is great news for site hosts in California.

Another reason why we are excited about integrating with this Autel EV charger is that the MaxiCharger is ISO 15118 compliant. This industry standard from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is full of smart charging and secure data encryption features. For example, ISO 15118 includes the framework for bi-directional charging, which is expected to be a crucial part of EV charging in the near future. Additionally, ISO 15118 includes the capability for future Plug-and-Charge features  which will streamline the charging process for drivers. With Plug-and-Charge, EV drivers will be able to simply plug in to start a charging session with all authentication and billing information preloaded from the first setup session.

Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP)

How is EVmatch integrated with the Autel MaxiCharger if it doesn’t manufacture it? Simple – through Open Charge Point Protocol. OCPP stands for Open Charge Point Protocol and it is an open communications standard managed by the Open Charge Alliance. It is the base language for all EV charging hardware and software providers that utilize open standards, which enable industry interoperability and enhanced reliability. EVmatch takes advantage of this industry standard so that it can offer its customers the latest and most future-proofed EV charging hardware. Since the Autel MaxiCharger, Enel X Juicebox Pro, and Wallbox Pulsar Plus are all OCPP compliant, EVmatch is able to offer a range of EV charger options to its customers, providing both an excellent selection of hardware and enhanced software tools for sharing and asset monetization.

Is the Autel MaxiCharger Right for My Site?

The Autel MaxiCharger is great for any commercial or public-facing location. Not only can it provide significant power, but it also has a touchscreen, NEMA-4 rating, and a 25 foot cable. All of these features make it a solid choice for any commercial setting. Additionally, for sites in California, the Autel MaxiCharger has CTEP compliance so site hosts can rest assured that this charger will be in compliance with the latest regulations. Lastly, for sites applying to certain rebate programs that require ISO 15118 certification or just want to “future-proof” their charging infrastructure, the Autel MaxiCharger is an ideal solution.

EVmatch and Autel’s combined solution help property owners future-proof their charging systems, ensuring they meet the needs of drivers and evolving technology advancements. The two companies believe this exciting partnership will pave the way for further innovation in the EV charging industry and support rapid charging infrastructure deployment at small and medium-sized businesses and apartment communities.
