WATCH THIS SHORT VIDEO TO LEARN ABOUT EVMATCH’S CHARGING PROGRAM WITH SVCE.

EVmatch will work with four multi-unit dwellings – a historically under-served housing segment – in Santa Clara County to install eight WiFi-connected Level 2 (240V) EV charging stations for both tenant and public use. SVCE is providing funding to cover infrastructure costs for each multi-unit dwelling participating in this pilot program. Incentives are also available from the State of California through the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP).

Multi-family program participants in Santa Clara County can install and operate two EV chargers for little or no out-of-pocket cost.

The U.S. has over 1.5 million EVs on the road today. That number is expected to be 20 times higher by 2030. More than 80% of EV charging takes place at home, and as more and more tenants buy electric cars, they will demand charging at their multi-unit dwelling. Through public-private partnerships likes these, EVmatch is working to make sure every building is EV-ready.

What charging stations are available through this program?

Enel X JuiceBox EV charging station

Eligible hardware is the Enel X JuiceBox Level 2 charging station, equipped with the universal J1772 plug compatible with all EV models. EVmatch software is integrated with the JuiceBox to provide site hosts with enhanced security and remote access control.

If you own or manage a multi-unit dwelling, SVCE is your electricity provider, and you’re interested in receiving free EV charging stations and installation (up to $8,000 per unit) contact us here.

Program Support from Silicon Valley Clean Energy

Financial support for this pilot is provided in part by SVCE, the community choice electricity provider for thirteen communities in Santa Clara County formed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change locally. SVCE provides homes and businesses with clean, carbon-free electricity at competitive rates, is reinvesting locally through programs and community support, and is accelerating electric technologies through innovation.
